Gordon Downie (frontman of The Tragically Hip) joined forces with The Sadies for a one-off performance on CBC Radio on 11-17-2007. The setlist included a few songs from the Tragically Hip and the Sadies catalogs, plus covers of Johnny Cash, Neil Young, Roky Erickson and The Stooges.
In 2014, the project released the album Gord Downie, The Sadies, and the Conquering Sun (see And the Conquering Sun).
