Coma of Souls is the fifth studio album by the German thrash metal band Kreator, and was released in 1990. It was reissued in 2002, with the lyrics for the last four songs missing from the booklet. It would be the last album before the band began experimenting with influences from other musical genres. It also would be the last record issued in the U.S. by Epic Records. Kreator is a german thrash metal band from Essen (NRW), Germany. Originally started off under as Metal Militia, then as Tyrant and later as Tormentor before permanently deciding for Kreator in 1982. Initially playing a thrash metal with Venom influences, their style of music is similar to that of their compatriots Destruction and Sodom, which are considered the other two big teutonic thrash metal bands from Germany.
