Szymon Wydra & Carpe Diem - Polish rock, pop-rock and pop band. It was founded in 1992 in Radom by singer Szymon Wydra.
In 1992-2000, the band performed at numerous regional and national festivals and reviews, winning prizes and awards there. In 2000, the critics of Gazeta Wyborcza ranked the band among the twenty most promising performers on the Polish music scene.
A turning point in Szymon Wydra's career was his participation in the first edition of the Idol program in 2002, where he took third place. A few months later, the group released its first album Teraz wiem, from which came the hit songs "Teraz wiem" and "Let me be better."
In 2005, the band released its second album Bezczas, promoted by the singles: "Life Like a Poem" and the title track.
In 2007, for the band's 15th anniversary, a third album entitled Remedium was released. The album was promoted by singles: "How will I tell her" and "You've been playing all your life."
In 2010, the band competed for the title of Polish Summer Hit 2010 with the song "I'll be myself" at the Bydgoszcz Hit Festival. The group came in 10th place, garnering 3.95% of the votes.
