“Missing My Idols” (previously titled “Can You Rap Like Me 2/ Missing My Idols”) is a sequel to Trippie Redd’s braggadocios track “Can You Rap Like Me”. The track was first previewed on Trippie Redd’s Instagram on May 2, 2018. On May 8, 2018 Trippie Redd revealed through his Instagram story that a music video for the track would be released at some point, inviting fans to join in. Trippie also performed part of the song as his XXL Freshman freestyle uploaded to XXL’s Youtube channel on the 28th of June.
