Last.fm was on-site in Chicago for another year of Riot Fest.

Riot Fest made its grand return to the windy city last month, marking the end of another long Summer festival season. The venue change to Chicago's Douglas Park served as a more favorable layout, allowing fans to soak up as much of this year's stellar lineup. In what almost feels like tradition, festival goers once again embraced the mud patches caused by overnight rains. Last.fm was on-site once again, and we spoke with a few of the festival's performers to find out what sets Riot Fest apart from the sea of other music festivals.

Music genres collided, with legends like Iggy Pop, De La Soul, Billy Idol and Anthrax sharing stages with Taking Back Sunday, Rancid, The Movielife, Alexisonfire; bands who have made legacies of their own.
