Continuing our series with Gibson that has so far taken in Rival Sons, Waxahatchee and Owen, we shone the spotlight on a UK artist for the first time in the form of Oxford's alternative folk act Stornoway.
It's been a nearly a year since the band's second album Tales From Terra Firma came out (stream via Spotify on Last.fm here) although they did follow up with the surprise mini album You Don't Know Anything (stream likewise here) at the tail-end of 2013. Their rich take on folk has seen them build up a steady fanbase over the years and this session was a perfect opportunity to look back but also look forward; their two-track performance included old track "Farewell Appalachia" and an as-yet unreleased track titled "Josephine".
