Description

For the first HvH show of 2011 we're teaming up with High Soc to to welcome back THE LOVES! They played a cracking show in October for our best friends Goats on Boxes and are well worth witnessing. They're releasing their 4th album, "Love You", in the new year and officially bringing their project to a close literally 10 days after this show. Yes, you read right - planned obsolescence. This will likely, Nottinghameers, be your l...ast chance to see the lovely Loves. They have a song where someone pretends to be Jesus and leaves them an answerphone message. The last show they played here they encore'd with a touching number entitled "Motherfucker". You should probably come check them out.

And our first confirmed support is the fantastic BURLY NAGASAKI! You may have seen them already - they played the last High Soc show and were bloody brilliant. Joey and Theresa channel the spirit of Elvis Presley... literally! Their debut album, written and recorded entirely last February, features 10 tributes to the King (and not of the sweaty Las Vegas variety), including singing saws, scissor solos and lyrics about killing babies. I feel justified in describing them as FUN-tastic (see what I did?).

...the third act on this bill is still to be confirmed (and possibly founded). Rumours are rife about who it could be and whether they'll be ready in time. A spokesman for this mysterious new project refused to make any comment short of the word "banjo"...

So come along and join in the fun!

Doors are at 8, entry is £4 (£3 High Soc).
