Yes, it's round three of the Plouf! v Middle Ones acoustic face off with added Oxo Foxo and Hannibal Hamster. Having been awed and inspired by the Plouf!/Middle Ones acoustic gig put on by Ray of Anand Pop in Birmingham in December (possibly one of the best things I saw last year) and having heard awesome things of the recent rematch gig in Sheffield, it's a combination too good to miss, so now they are coming to Nottingham. It's free, it's in the afternoon,it's the day after we put on Milky Wimpshake** , you'll be able to get home on the train, it will be fantastic.

The Middle Ones
http://www.myspace.com/themiddleones
Hailing from the North but living in the East, the Middle Ones formed in their time as undergrads at UEA. Their sound is simple yet strong, with a wonderfully warm but textured character. On stage they charm with a modest sense of humour, honest lyrics and simple but pleasing use of cheap looking instruments that fit their lo-fi care-free musicality so well.
Plouf!
http://www.plouf.co.uk/
Plouf! are Elodie and tonieee:
He is tall and he is ginger,
She is small and she is French,
We are Plouf! and we sing songs,
They are all less than one minute long,
And we will Plouf! you,
We will Plouf! you,
We will Plouf! you,
We will Plouf! you,
We will Plouf! you,
We will Plouf! you,
And have a good time.
Oxo Foxo

Oxo Foxo does some of her own songs, but mostly does awesome covers of pop tunes. You can hear some of them on her blog here, for this afternoon we are getting the awesome covers of pop tunes.
Hannibal Hamster
http://hannibalhamster.bandcamp.com/album/whale-of-a-tale
Hannibal Hamster is Alex Hale of Japanese Sleeper's newest project. He will be playing some songs from Whale of a Tale! ( http://fawm.org/fawmers/hannibalhamster/ ), the album he's currently working on for the February Album Writing Month Project. Apparently it's about him living in the 17th Century and getting eaten by a magical whale.
