Dawn Landes
http://www.dawnlandes.com
Fresh from New York City, Dawn Landes is becoming an alt-folk force to be reckoned with. Her bluegrass tinged, soulful folk, often love struck and gorgeously literate with lyrical zest is finally becoming well known. Adverts are using her songs, huge American television programmers are using her as soundtrack loveliness, and past shows with artists such as Feist, Jose Gonzalez and Midlake under her belt. 2008 really should be her year.
"A nostalgic mix of junk-shop pop, 10-dollar folk guitars, glistening glockenspiels and fuzzy, retroelectronica against which she delivers her odd, boho lyrics - many of which sound as if they've been made up on the spot - with an offhand insouciance" Uncut

Thao Nguyen
http://www.thaomusic.com
Indie folk from Washington DC, Thao and her band "the Get down Stay down" are already getting a large following in the USA and mainland Europe. It's self explanatory really when you hear the catchy sense of melody in the collection of gorgeous, quirky songs she shares with the audience.
"Her songs and the way she goes through them ? barefooted and patiently ? is a lot like a hot, living form of maple syrup. She oozes over you and coats you with a level of comfort that you can't shake as you would a pesky guilty party" Daytrotter

Catherine Anne Davies
http://www.catherineannedavies.co.uk
Coming out from the rock shadows of Nick Cave, Catherine is a "goth folk" chanteuse, whose 2007 rather impressively included recording tracks with Mansun's Paul Draper, turning down joining Courtney Love's band, becoming a Doctor of the English Language, scoring an artist in residence relationship with Royal Festival Hall and writing songs for Nitin Sawney's new album. With her sold out self-released EP's under her black belt, 2008 looks to be a great year for Catherine Anne Davies.

"A very special voice... it would only need a lucky break for her to hit the big time. Beautiful and brilliant." -BBC.CO.UK
"Brilliantly sultry."- Time Out

Nic Dawson Kelly
http://www.myspace.com/nicdawsonkelly
The haunting folk of Nic Dawson Kelly comes with a uniquely gorgeous voice; think Anthony and the Johnsons via Nick Drake, adding some hints of Devandra Banhart and you might get close. His moonshine soaked folk gives you the chills, and makes the entire room stop, look and listen.
