Description
On 1st July people from all over the UK and afar gather at London’s landmark, Trafalgar Square, to celebrate everything Canadian, making London once again home to the largest Canada Day outside of Canada. Last year’s Canada Day celebration saw 90,000 people attend the free festivities in Trafalgar Square. The event has become a mainstay of the capital’s cultural calendar and showcases the best of Canadian music, sport, art, culture, tourism, business, food and drink to Londoners, Canadians and other visitors from all around the world.
There will be plenty of activities throughout the day, as this year promises to cater to everyone by providing a more innovative Canada Day concept, with firsts in fashion, food and musical highlights!
Sports fans can enjoy Canadian’s gathering together to showcase their hockey skills, as street hockey tournaments run throughout the day on the square.
By the evening, attendees will be treated to an array of Canada’s best musical talent with performances from Arkells, Jann Arden, The Sheepdogs and The Tragically Hip.
