Used to love this one and get freaking chills but his screaming kinda rubs me off the wrong way nowadays. I think I've gone soft. I fucking hate getting older and seeing all these bands I used to be crazy for when I was a teenager almost not doing it for me anymore. I was really counting on being an old guy still listening to extreme metal and whatnot. I'm so attached to it that most people they'd be just like "Nah, I don't like this anymore" and move on with their lives, but me, I get frustrated with myself and sad AF and pretty much obsessed by the fact that I don't seem to be enjoying it like I used to and I didn't ask for it. Fucking hell, man.

I used to think the same when I'd see people stopping listening to metal "Nah, they probably never really loved it" until it started to (kinda, haven't really stopped) happen to me, and now I feel like a fool for assuming about people's lives when I simply just can't know, so beware what you say, too, instead of assuming about my life. I have many Bathory scrobbles throughout many years (this isn't my 1st profile, so it doesn't really start in '15) and I've been listening to music for my own pleasure, this is why, also, you might find not-so-metal things in my library, like pop or rap artists, because I'm not a teenage anymore who thinks metalheads only listen to metal music, otherwise they're not trve. I don't mean to be standoffish, but, you, racking up 2k scrobbles in a week, 150k total, listening to the same song multiple times in a row, look like scrobbling just for scrobbling. May I assume something about you too? Are you trying to portrait yourself as the biggest Bathory fan?

I believe that comparing music to people is a balance fallacy, as in, those are not equivalents. I agree that music stays the same, I don't even like this talk of "this aged well" "that aged badly" because our reaction to it is subjective, and subject to changes, while the music is always the same, but they say that changes are part of being human and they simply happen. I know for a fact that I did not ask for them and I have a problem dealing with them in my personal life. I guess this is why they say that we feel the need to have complete control of our lives, to feel secure, but this is foolish, because it might not be possible. I thought it was hippie gibberish all that talk of not being attached to things and learning how to let things go, but now it seems to me that it's not BS at all. It's how we're supposed to deal with changes, otherwise we keep suffering if we try to fight them.

Just to finish, it's not uncommon to find on YouTube comments of full albums or old footage, people remembering on their younger days, saying stuff like "I miss when I'd blast this all day in my room", when metal was their whole world, etc, and sometimes I'd reply asking what they'd be up to and if they were still listening to it and many people would answer back with the answer I did not want to hear. Nowadays, I do not judge them and or doubt about the love they had in the past. Again, it seems to me that it's just part of being a human. If you really think about it, most people in the world are not really attached to the music they listen to, it seems to be only people who listen to these niche genres related to subcultures and identities. As much as we'd like it or feel like it, we are not special, we are just like everybody else. Humans. Subject to changes. As much as we desire them or not.

One part of the solo sounds like a tribute to Chopin's Marche Funebre. I'm sure that was intentional, that's a great piece!

Isn't the solo taken from Chopin's Funeral march and played in "black metal way" ? Cause I'm not quite sure if I'm right.
