I do understand why comparisons are made, but they are indeed very different. Similar atmosphere at times, but if Burial is very much the sound of South London in the dead of night, Clubroot evokes the sound of being alone on an alien planet IMO.

Remember hearing one of his tracks on Get Darker's This Is Dubstep 3 from 2010, but never paid attention beyond that. Not sure why, because his entire discography is absolutely fantastic.

totally forgot about clubroot and burial. they're both good, so why compare them? if you like one more than the other that's fine, they're both good musicians.

It doesn't sound like your fucking Burial at all. It's less cheesy. There are no nauseating time-stretched voice samples nor poor lo-fi sound quality. There is much better approach to rhythm, synths and bass.

Clubroot doesn't get half the recognition he deserves in my opinion. An extremely talented producer, his production often carries a deep, mellow, euphoric vibe. For some reason the guy's always compared with Burial, and to be honest I cant see why. Burial's work is alot darker and grittier, conjuring up images of a grey, rain soaked London. Clubroot's production on the other hand has a more organic feel, with lacings of deep, warm bass and atmospheric soundscapes. Definatly a man to watch. [3] THIS!!!
