I have to admit I was skeptical at first, but I'm Only Dreaming...Of Days Long Past is pretty gorgeous... I like this rather more than the regular album tbh.

Calming, soothing, beautiful harmonies. Like receiving the greatest hug and someone you love kiss you at the same time. This band is like a anti-anxiety pill, a secret that I want to keep but share with others I like. I love them so much.

I loved Room Noises when I bought it in 2009. I then made the mistake of ignoring this band for the next six years, so since 2015 I've been listening to everything they've put out since, limiting myself to just one album a year. I'm currently (pun intended) listening to Currents, and it's just as good as The Valley, which is likely my favorite album by them. There's something about their sound that I find calming. I need someone here to reassure me that there aren't 100 other bands like them because I don't want to slip down that slope and end up a fan of indie rock. As a hardline metalhead, I don't want to become that.

Good strategy to savor the albums one by one, make sure you report back after listening to I'm Only Dreaming. There's plenty of good indie rock out there, but I think Eisley has a pretty unique approach and feel

Ok, I've given I'm Only Dreaming three dedicated spins and it is amazing. I liked it even more than I expected. The surprising addition of male backup vocals worked, and "A Song for the Birds" has already reached my top 5 tracks. What a phenomenal band.

Thanks for the reassurance. I'm still digesting Currents, which has many standouts that will survive the test of time. I'm Only Dreaming will be an adventure for 2019.

There isn't an awful lot like them out there... I'd say present-day Vanessa Carlton may be among the closest.

Yeah, the new album is pretty good but it's basically a solo project, and I'd feel more comfortable if Sherri released/toured it under her own name or under a nonsense moniker like Panini or Sucré or Brewtones or whatever.

I think Eisley isn't really a thing anymore. I saw them knowing Chantelle and Stacy AND Weston were not on tour with them. That is 3/5 of your band missing. It just wasn't quite the same. Still great though. Pretty much every one of them seems busy with their families now and most of them all moved to Nashville. Even though they are supposed to have another LP planned for next year, I think they are gonna call it quits or probably at least take a break. I heard Stacy hasn't even had any or very little involvement with the new album that is being worked on.

it really bums me out that basically any indie pop/rock female vocalist gets compared to paramore... eisley, tancred/jess abbott. funny too because hayley sounds nothing like anyone else imo.

I'm seriously trying to find another indie rock band with female vocalists that's as good as them, but I can't find any... The only band I've found yet, that I liked too, was "Now, Now". So... any other suggestions?

They sound nothing alike, but there's no need to trash Paramore either. I like 'em both.
