man, 'midnight organ fight' had a great impact on me a few years back when facing identity problems as a teen attempting to understand herself and finally coming to the realization that emotions are much greater when expressed and life's complex and-but definitely worth living. i'm sure i'll always look at it fondly and am immeasurably grateful to these guys, and I dearly miss Scott.

Midnight Organ Fight is probably the greatest album of all time. What a legacy Scott has left us.

I'm almost glad I somehow missed out on these guys (who I f-ing love) until after Scott passed bc it's devastating even now, it would've been so much worse if I had been a fan then

I'm not religious but I really hope he's resting up somewhere well. He was my hero when I was 18.

When I was 18 was when I first discovered them. Hard to believe it's been 12 years now. What song was your first for them? I'm not religious either, but I think/hope something comes after all this bullshit.

My first song was State Hospital, I remember seeing it advertised just before a video on YouTube. I immediately fell in love with it.

Fuck, it's still hard listening to the music Scott, but you've left behind so much powerful work you'll never really be gone from this world and you'll never stop helping people like me even from the grave. Love you and all the band members.

It's December now so I'll be listening to my Christmas playlist. That means the year's first spin of 'It's Christmas So We'll Stop'... which makes me tear up at the best of times. Ah God.

Even six months later, it feels like something inside of me is still broken... :(

Only found out about the news today. Going to be listening to Frightened Rabbit all day with a heavy heart. RIP Scott

The muted optimism of songs like "Living in Colour" is the overriding emotion I always took away from listening to FR. I never listened to them to become sad, or to revel in it. I listened to them because often life made me sad, but I could (and still can) see optimism in even the worst moments. I always felt that Scott portrayed that perfectly in their songs, so it's unfortunate to see that it wasn't enough.

I can't stop crying. It's weird because I did not even know him in person but it feels like I lost a close friend cause he poured all his heart and soul into all his lyrics. I feel so sorry for him and the family he left behind and all fans that are so deeply affected by this death. Rest in peace, Scott. You left too early.

One of those artists with such a uniquely harrowing voice that takes even more of a somber turn today. I always loved the track "Dead Now" but I don't think I can bear to listen to it without welling up even more than I did before these grey events.

I had a bad feeling about this since he was reported missing, wish I had been wrong.
