Biography

Jacqueline Cruz Rocamora is an independent artist, who is a beautiful woman of God. She has had experience, playing multiple–up to 5, instruments at a time. As part of her school's marching band and a student council member at San Jose Youth Symphony, the extent of her ability seems unlimited! In fact, her talent is envied worldwide, and, as she falls more and more in love with music, she hopes to spread this love to others, and perhaps become a band manager in the future.

Miss Rocamora reflects on her many experiences at the end of the 2008 Marching Band Season:

"Although primarily a bassoonist, I have marched flute throughout all of high school and have been a co-section leader of the marching flute section for the past two years at my high school. It’s amazing looking back on these past four years and thinking about how much I’ve grown as a person, as a musician, and most importantly, a child of God. I have learned so many new things and have undergone so many new life-changing experiences that I couldn’t have possibly gone through doing any other type of activity, such as performing at the Boston Symphony Hall, to traveling to Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong to share the gift of music and to glorify our Lord’s name to the hundreds of people we encountered during our visit. In addition, all of this could not have been done without the amazing love and support of the encouraging directors, staff, parents and friends that have stood next to me all along this indescribable journey. My musical endeavors in high school have truly motivated me to pursue a lifelong career involving a pastime that I have gradually developed such a strong passion for, and has further pushed me to challenge myself to participate in various honor ensembles, such as the CODA All-State Honor Orchestra, ACSI Honor Band and Orchestra, and the BOA Summer Symposium in Normal, Illinois, where I was selected to perform with the U.S. Army Field Band, and was able to march with the Rosemont Cavaliers and the Canton Bluecoats. I continually thank the Lord every single day for blessing me with the wonderful memories, friends, and instructors I’ve gained throughout these past four years, and my parents for always being there for me and for supporting me through it all."
