The video for Intuition was parody but this album was definitely sincere. She wanted to make this album, for fun or for money. But there's nothing parody or tongue-in-cheek about it.

I don't think Jewel was "disguising" anything. She truly was making a parody. How can anyone watch the video of "Intuition" and not believe it was a parody? If you look at the title tracks of 0304, you can tell it's mocking song titles of mainstream pop. Read the lyrics. And maybe she did want to do a pop album, so what? I respect Jewel for being diverse and expanding her music horizon. Not many people do that. Remember, Madonna went through her R&B phase and Bob Dylan also went country for short period of time.

this album is really nice :) jewel prooved that she can do as well pop as country... this record contain meaningful songs, and that is what makes her such an excellent artist, when u listen to the other pop songs, most of them have no deep meanings only dealing with love and cheat, and hate, but jewel made a pop album, where she sings about the american life, about promiscious girls, about the industry.. that's why she is so different from the other artists! :) simply i love her :)
