Really addictive track, the moment that the strings come in is simply breathtaking.

Ah, to be 14 again and grooving to R.E.M and U2 before they got all narcissistic and weird.

@gipsasRcrew: Kurt Cobain was a big fan. Kurt Cobain (Rolling Stone, January 27, 1994): "I know we're gonna put out one more record, at least, and I have a pretty good idea what it's going to sound like: pretty ethereal, acoustic, like R.E.M.'s last album (Automatic For The People). If I could write just a couple of songs as good as what they've written... I don't know how that band does what they do. God, they're the greatest. They've dealt with their success like saints, and they keep delivering great music."

So he DOES say 'Combien du temps'? Always wondered all these years (though surely it should be 'Combien de temps?').

Why does the last.fm program always think I listen to the "2006 digital remaster" of this song? I prefer the original, its more dynamic. Good Song btw, not one of my favourites on Murmur though.

I would love to see these guys live. The first cd I ever owned was an REM cd (Document I think...).

:-D @corradocolin: In this case it's rather clear, compared with the other REM lyrics from that time. He sings about suffering, doesn't he? Does anyone understand those words in the first line that reappear between the choruses - combey in reaction??? huh? And
