This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. This one, The Color Green, and Peace are by far my favorite songs on this album. I agree with everyone below that Rich was such a unique voice in Christian music. He brought a totally humble, open minded approach to his song writing. And he loved incorporating classical instruments like strings, and that awesome dulcimer of his (which is something I have a total soft spot for in my musical tastes).

I heard this song on the radio and had to listen to it again. I need to get this cd/dvd collection.

everytime, EVERYTIME I listen to this I get chills. Because of the conviction and truth in the words. It doesnt over-simplify the faith and doesnt compromise it either. It doesn't commercialize it with the "feel-good" poppy fluff of many other christian songs. It makes me feel I can be a better person.

I really did like how in the documentary about him, one person mentions this song, and how, rather than faith as something to stand on and maybe make life feel more certain, he saw it as something operating on him: "I did not make it! No, it is making me!" Also, I love dulcimers.

You what I love about Rich Mullins shouts: They aren't full of cheesey Christian cliches. Just about any other Christian artists shouts will have the "Glory to Jesus who is my best friend for ever" and the "God will never let me down, praise to His name". That stuff is good and all but I feel that Rich Mullins music is for the thinking Christian that can start to ponder the deepness that is God and the love He has for us. It isn't for the surface Christians that can spout mindless cliches about the goodness of God (no matter how true they are, they still sound ridiculous to a operson that has been a Christian for 20 years and who has heard just about everything). Thanks Rich for your genuine down to earth writing and for living a life that followed your message. There will never be another one like you !
