I think a lot of people are turned off for this because it's so weird. I don't find it any more weird than say Isaac Brock's singing voice. Basically this isn't weird at all and it's a great fucking album

Same way it happened to me. Thought it was borderline unlistenable for years, one day I put it on from the top and all of a sudden it made total sense. Not for everyone, but I’d still recommend giving it a try to almost anyone. Such an amazing record

Yeah, finally out on LP! There may be better albums out there, but no other album makes me feel as happy...not a wasted note for 80 minutes.

I'm glad that I'm finally enjoying this album. Ironically though, my attention span is still crap as it always is.

it's kinda fun until you realize a lot of the songs are just a bunch of short songs that aren't good or developed enough to be actual songs

it's a sin to compare this album to funeral. I do think they could have cut about ten minutes off this album though

I remember the day I bought this album back in 2004... ah, that was a good day! definitely one of the more polarizing albums of the decade though (but one of the best in my opinion)

I will never get sick of this album. After two plus years of owning this album, it's one of those albums, despite having ten minute tracks featured within, that I will never skip through or over a song. The Fiery Furnaces have written the soundtrack to my ~soul~.
