In a music world that's become overly obsessed with the fascinations of "fist-pumping" and males in skinny jeans, it's hard to clear the cloud of the good and bad music we have immersed ourselves in. And out of this cloud, out of the woods, out of 60s-influenced-energy and bare essentials and complications and tremolos and a slew of other words you wouldn't find in a dictionary, with stumbling stubbled beards and flannel and 6-part harmonies, emerges the Shout Aways. Engineering sounds upon sounds to surround us in a wall of countless influences ranging from Cold War Kids to the Who to Sufjan Stevens and the Arctic Monkeys.
But none of this matters.
None of these words are moving your cursor over to the play button giving you the evil eye right now. No one is forcing you to do anything. You're contemplating your plans and you're predicting your future. That persistent play button will not leave you alone.
