This song just makes me feel like it's a cold cloudy winter day right after a decent snowfall

Just listened to this song yesterday on our long weekend reflecting back... but, awoke to this SAD NEWS RELEASED THIS MORNING: it's just been announced that Gordon Downie, lead singer and lyricist for The Tragically Hip, has terminal brain cancer... It's SO HARD knowing how much he will be missed... Thoughts, prayers and a final tour For Gord... God Bless

The Hip made a concert film entitled "Bobcaygeon" a couple of years ago after performing a summer festival concert near Bobcaygeon / Fenlon Falls.

The video for this song has the band portrayed as "The Constellations" a rock band 'revealing themselves one star at a time'.... while at a house party.

This Canadian living Australia plays this song whenever it's time to settle down and get real. It's home, family, authenticity, and a reminder of why Canadians are the best writers in the English speaking world. Canada rocks.

Low gray clouds hover above cold winds as I work today. "Bobcaygeon" feels like a familiar, warm flannel. Tough to beat.

And the black & white checkered floors refers to the Hoseshoe Taverne, a bar where many classic bands have played. We've played there! My favourite Hip tune... Props from Mtl....

For those of you that do not know, Bobcaygeon is a small scenic town Northeast of Toronto on Sturgeon Lake in the Kawarthas, which is very popular for cottagers. The town is about 2 hours drive from the band's hometown of Kingston, Ontario.
