Yeah, and there's an upcoming Anime adaptation of it too (series), there was already a movie a while ago that i haven't watched yet, but the Manga was cool i agree. Read that, Kajika, and Nekomajin too. Haven't gotten to Dr. Slump yet.

Oh yeah Kajika is cool, very similar to Dragon Ball, I haven't read Nekomajin but it looks like it could be funny. I used to watch Dr. Slump when I was a kid, pretty fun show. And yeah I'm really looking forward to the Sandland anime, as well as DB Daima, even when it didn't seemed interesting at first, it's the last thing from Toriyama. :(

Oh, i haven't heard of that. Tbh with you i haven't watched the DB anime adaptations much, i have some of the films and i really liked those, but never watched the shows. The Manga is such a nostalgia trip to me tho :')

Howdy! Sadly no, I haven't played that game yet :(, I didn't knew about it when I had a ps2 back then. I saw a couple of gameplay videos and it indeed looks cool, I might download an emulator to play it.

Well, punk is usually heavy, has good lyrics and it's really fun, so I'm not surprised! I like punk as well, mostly the old school punk and hardcore bands such as Ramones, Discharge, Pistols, Black Flag, GBH and The Exploited. What about you, which are your favourites so far?

Hey bro, Merry Christmas! Well, lately I listened to the band (in fact it's s only one member) called Midnight. It's speed/black metal in the vein of the first wave bands like Venom, Bathory, Celtic Frost and also Motorhead, I think you will like them. There are more similar bands such as Bewitcher and Hellripper. I havent listened much death metal lately tbh. What about you?
Действия
-
Vojtaak
Ah yes, Midnight is an excellent band, love their album Satanic Royalty. Hellripper's great too, I like these newer first wave resurgence kinda bands. Gotta check out Bewitcher. I haven't really been breaching out much lately, more of listening to my already known bands and exploring their discographies more. Opus Mortis VIII by Vomitory and Killing Music by Benediction might be my new favorites by their respective bands.

Dude I'm totally addicted to Blackened speed/thrash metal. I really recommend you Bewitcher, I listened to their fist album and it rips. Wraith, Cruel Force, Gehennah, Deathhammer are also great bands. I feel you, at this point of my life I think I know quite a bit about metal, so I usually keep listening to my favorites, but I like to discover new stuff every now and then.
Действия
-
Vojtaak
Hell yeah, I'll give those a listen, Gehennah is the only one from those I've heard of. Abigail is another one I think you would like. I'm still at the stage where I have a lot of bands to discover I believe, but at the same time there's a ton of bands that I know like one or a handful of songs from and haven't really delved into their discography. I guess that's good as there's always something to listen to lol.

Well, not really, actually traditional heavy metal is my favourite genre of music but yeah, I like thrash and death metal a lot. However, if you dive deeper in my collection, you will find out that I also enjoy genres like power and black metal, as well as hard rock, prog, classical and punk. Nothing wrong with listening just a few music genres tho!

Hey dude, all fine and you? Yeah, this Halloween season I felt like listening to black metal a lot haha, I think I'm gonna continue my wave though most of november as well. What about you? Which bands have you been listening so far?

I agree, black metal is better when it's raw and aggressive, especially when they keep the punk and thrash influence, sort of like a "Venom-ish" sound. . I also like the first wave a lot, all those bands you mentioned, plus Bulldozer, I really recommend their first album. I particularly like the classic norwegian bands as well, such as early Mayhem, Gorgoroth, Darkthrone and especially Immortal. I also dig a lot of swedish bm, like Marduk, Dissection, Dark Funeral and Watain, it tends to be speedy yet melodic. I'm not really into the symphonic stuff, except for Emperor, neither the atmospheric stuff.

To be honest, I had Infester on my listening list but I kinda avoided them because according to metal archives, some of their lyrics are about white supremacism and racism. I don't know if its true, but honestly I think I'll just listen to the music without paying attention to the lyrics, cause they do sound pretty brutal.

Thanks, you too! What a coincidence that you ask, I've been listening to Exciter a lot lately. The truth is, for some reason I had not heard them before and I loved what I've heard so far, I listened to their first three albums and I think Long Live the Loud is my favorite.

I'm not a huge nu metal fan to be honest, I think it often lacks some things I like from metal, like guitar solos and stuff like that. However, there are some nu metal bands and albums that I enjoy. Slipknot are cool, I have seen them live and they were great, their first two albums are great as well. I like Korn's debut album, and System of a Down. I havent heard much else, I might give Deftones a try. Are there some bands you would recommend?

Korn debut is one of my all time favorite albums, and kinda the album that got me into Metal, tho it took years 'til i got into discovering other genres. Still like quite a bit of Nu Metal personally, but i get that it's not for everyone. Honestly Bizkit were a fun band too, people just take them too seriously :D I would recommend "Get Some" by Snot, more HC influenced than any other Nu album i've heard, except the first SOAD maybe, that was pretty HC too.

Indeed, it's a great album. Old In Flames recorded some of my favourite albums of all time. Im not sure which one is the best for me, its either The Jester Race or Clayman, but all the first five are essential.

I don't remember clearly my first black metal bands, If you consider Cradle of Filth to be black metal it would be the first then. I didn't liked black metal at first, it sounded too weird to me. I got firstly into first wave bands, such as Venom, Celtic Frost, Bulldozer or Mercyful Fate, however, as you might already know it is questionable to label those "black metal". If im remember correctly, Enslaved's Bellow the Lights was one of the first black metal records I could get into. However, black metal "clicked" on me around my mid 20s, particuarly while difficult circumstances I was living, I heard Dark Funeral at it was like discovering fire. Then I got into all the classics, Emperor, Dissection, Immortal, Mayhem, Dimmu Borgir, Satyricon,Gorgoroth, those were the first black metal bands I got into. I like black metal, however I hardly feel like listening to it nowadays. It's an extremely dark form of music, and while death metal is pretty dark as well, it doesn't feel the same...

Another aspect is the ideology, I mean, death metal also has a lot of anti christian stuff but most bands focus on the music, while in Black metal the lyrics have more weight. I don't mind anti christian themes, I mean I listen to bands like Deicide, but I don't really relate to it on a personal level. Same with punk, I like the music and while some lyrics I can relate, im not particuarly into the political themes. Then again, I can listen to death metal at whatever mood I am. Since lately I feel pretty happy most of the time I rarely feel like listening to bm, however if I have a bad day, nothing can be as a relief as a good old bm album.
