Only just listened for the first time so it's hard to judge. I was really into the first 2-3 albums but haven't heard anything since then. She still sounds pretty similar on the new one though.

I'm pretty busy -- as always, ha, but hopefully in particularly productive ways right now. It's so awesome that you'll get to see Sachiko! I was considering visiting London for a second there, but I don't think I have the time right now. Also, in the meantime, a Sunburned gig in Vienna on the very same day has been announced, and that makes me just as happy <3 Talking of happiness: Istanbul, amazing! Have plenty of fun there and be sure to tell me about it. "King of Limbs" is a fine album -- I don't feel as connected to Radiohead as I used to (although the "Kid A" / "Amnesiac" era is still pure magic to me), but I like this one, better than "In Rainbows" too, which was a nice album but not so much my thing.

I should've known better than to have any sort of aspiration for political reform. At least the bullingdon despots are in now and we can all go back to sleep, my brain was beginning to hurt anyway.

Pity the gig wasn't your thing, I'd really love to see them again! What courses are you doing at uni right now? I'm trying to make myself rediscover the fun in writing, I really need to... and I think it works. And yeah, the weather... Vienna is way too cold. California dreaming, etc.

While I'm sure it will be an absolutely fabulous and unforgettable show and this is one of my favourite albums, my jealousy is fairly limited as I'm quite sceptic regarding full-length album performances, the whole Don't Look Back thing and its tendency towards (self-) canonisation of "classic" albums that often already overshadowed the respective artist's further discography in the first place due to their adherence to certain norms (length, structure, classicism-innovation ratio etc., simplistically put) that I don't necessarily want to dismiss as potential qualities but that I'm somewhat frustrated to see (at least implicitly) heralded as constituting the album form's apex. I'm generalising though, or maybe I'm just grumpy or being contrarian! My events list... well, various factors coming together at once, including sensitive ears (especially following a recent inflammation) and work aplenty. Should be getting better sooner or later. I hope you're doing fine! How were MV & EE?

Heyy man, i'm definitely going to Skullflower and Nate Young! The rest all depend on my timetable haha. As for Zorn, pick up these: Six Litanies, Xu Feng, Naked City (classic), Electric Masada (Mountains of Madness), Tabboo & Exile, and any filmworks release. Thats alot to be getting on with, but i can still think of more! Enjoy.

Trains don't have legs; you should've made that a footnote. I don't think the campus kids flitting around on their skateboards like Michael J. Fox appreciate indirect humour that covertly behaves as subtle critique of consensual attitudes to literature. Though at the risk of spouting the kind of pseudo-intellectual crap I just did, they may be the better for it.

i loved it - definitely worth the trip. must've been quite a contrast from the last gig of his you went to (was it 4 years?) loved the one-man-and-machines the best, and as for bjork, she should turn every track into a mental reactable breakdown - hyperballad was insane! shame we were the only ones dancing in our part of the crowd :(

there's map on www.skoob.com ... it's quite hard to find at the moment because the north face of the brunswick is covered in scaffolding. but if you hunt around you'll find it - def. worth checking out.
