Hey ernie_ernest! We saw that you have a pretty good music taste and thought that you'd maybe like our music as well. We are three girls from the forests of Sweden and we are going to record our very first album in Woodstock this summer! We have a couple of songs up that we would love if you checked out! VIDAR - Phoenix and VIDAR - Ships. Let us know what you think (it's much appreciated) and also check out our cover of 'Kathy's Song' that we got the chance to play live for Paul Simon! Love, VIDAR

Going by your journal it looks like you might share some of the goals of our group. Last.fm could be improved. We are always looking for input from people (like you?) with worthwhile ideas. http://www.last.fm/group/A+better+deal+for+Subscribers

thanks, I quickly checked out those 30 seconds clips and they sound pretty interesting. gonna go home and look for the album. If you have a download link, send it my way. I am a sucker for nice fat bass lines ( like paul simonan on good, the bad and the queen project)

yeah its a bit of an anomaly but I can explain. I became a huge Damon Albarn fan when he released his good, bad & the queen album which is still my favorite project of his. Then I check out Gorillaz which I really really love and I didnt bother with Blur because of the whole "britpop" label which is associated with them. They were constantly being compared to Oasis and I just assumed that Blur probably sounded exactly like them. I know its a bit irrational but I recently saw the new blur documentary "Blur - No Distance Left to Run" and I am planning on working through their discography. I have so far listened to "13" which was really good. Do you have any favorites?

how's that new Beach House? I'm wary of the news that it's got more variety - I really dug the monotone nature of their last one... though of course I'm gonna try it soon!

Man. Totally ridiculous. Song 2 was fucking nuts. Tender is still going round my head. Singing that refrain after they left the stage. Magic. Fucking magic.

Saturday night at Glastonbury. Why is it so shit? Might have to see the Boss just because there's nothing else on? Also, apparently Ed Bynre is in the comedy tent, and I have already seen him on this tour. Why didn't Eavis just slame AC on Saturday night at the Park? Lame.

I hear a lot of ppl saying that Yellow House is their best. Vecakimest (sp) was my first intro to Grizzly bear so i still need to check Yellow House out. The harmonies and the guitars are absolutely brilliant on the new album.

If you like that Fennesz album, check out Black Medicine Music by Stag Hare. Similar kind of ambient, summertime music. It's an absolute gem.

Awesome, I'm so glad you like it! I just saw your shout earlier and thought - damn, good coincidence that's pretty much what Caural is! He's got several other albums, and all of them are fully streamable here on last.fm which is cool. Plus it looks as if the tags are weird (that third track should just be Caural as artist, oh well) so you can go to the album pages for reference if ya care about that... let me know if you'd like anything more from him (or other stuff)

Yeah, I used to have 'Support your brother!' on my profile, but then sacked it off. Also, did you have tolook up adobe slats when you first heard the song? Apparently they're some kind of Portuguese roof tile... Hehe. The life and times of a student eh?
