(I don’t mean to eavesdrop, but I agree 100% with you about genuine classic male vocals v. today's whiny, nasal hipsters. ..ugh..All these tight T-shirt dude bands, with their not-yet-ready-to-shave voices...makes me want to just give up and listen to....well, geez, Ethel Merman, for crissake!)

Inexplicably, I've fallen from Super to Medium. Trust me: I've got nothing against either The Singing Brakeman or The King of the Road!

I wasn't actually a pocono but I was often seen with one (Mike A.). I was wondering if you were, well, you.

No problem. I guess I'm rather poor myself by most peoples' standards, but I don't drive, so that makes it seem like I have a lot of money laying around all the time. It's good though because I always have enough to buy rare out-of-print albums and whatnot and a lot of music in general.

My job is my life as well. I don't think I'd get out much or see very many people otherwise. On the weekends I tend to just listen to music and sleep, which is fine, but I usually feel like I'd want to be at work seven days a week because I have to constantly be doing something productive to feel like I'm getting much out of life. I guess this is why I spend so much time researching things.

I really don't mind the work. It's actually really laid back and fun. I do accounting for Secretly Canadian/Jagjaguwar/Dead Oceans Records, so I love the people I work with and the general atmosphere. I know I'm making a contribution to something I care about too, so I'm not really sure if I could ask for more in a job. I would have to be more-self motivated to do something on my own.

I didn't notice until now, but my first two posts on your shoutbox both start with (insert band name here that starts with the letter H) is great!. I think having to send repetitive emails to lots of customers at work is turning me into a robot.
