I've seen you on pages for so many bands I like. Nice Library, Unwound is pretty much my favorite band.

Haha honestly when I first listened to Fire of Love I thought the band was a southern group, from Texas or something. gotta love both though.

Just dropping a note to say that I agree that Flan is a fantastic novel. Haven't read it in about 10 years, and feel inspired to read it again, though i know i'd be in for one madly depressing trip.

I'll be sure to listen to that album next time I'm in NY. Thanks for the recommendation. I haven't listened to many new albums as of late but if and when I find something you might like I'll definitely send it your way.

I have Of Thick Tum by them, bought it off of Amazon a while ago because I couldn't find a download. Fall break is in two weeks so I'll definitely take a listen to it then. I'll try to find Spasm Smash. I forgot to mention Country Teasers. You should definitely listen to their album Destroy All Human Life, I think you'd like it. And The Fall! I see you haven't given them a listen. Their album Dragnet is tremendous. Also, I see you listen to Rodan and Bark Psychosis, The Sonora Pine has members of Rodan and reminds me of both of them. I'll stop for now, I just got excited because its hard to send you recs haha.

Thinking Fellers are so unique its hard to find anything that sounds remotely like them. But I remember telling you about the Frogs, their album It's Only Right and Natural reminds me of them, just with acoustic guitars. Brainiac remind me of them too, their EP Internationale is pretty great. And I see you haven't given the TFUL282 EP Admonishing the Bishops a listen. It's probably my favorite thing they released. The Bob Dinners album is also really good.

Yes! Both are great. Junkyard is my favorite. My internet is getting throttled again, I can't even load a full youtube video. Plus I heard there has been around 5 copyright complaints from record companies hahaha.

I'm going to try and sneak in some Shellac, Steve Albini is a god among men. Everything he touches is gold. Same thing holds for Jim O'Rourke too. And I have heard of a few of those but many are new to me, thanks for the recs again. I will begin downloading them now.

Yeah, I eat really late here too and very infrequently but I found out that I've already spent over half my meal plan budget I don't know how thats humanely possible. Extremely overpriced certified humane meat and organic greens is all they serve here haha. The answers to chemistry problems always came more natural to me, I have a psychological block when it comes to understanding complex number problems. I like sitting down and coming up with structures for psychoactive drugs, that keeps me interested during the day. The Birthday Party is really different but in a good way. Nick Cave was in that band during the peak of his heroin days. New Plastic Ideas IS SO GOOD! I'm going to play some songs off that album this Friday in an upcoming radio show, people here mostly listen to 90's rap and new indie music so it should be fun. I listened to Yank Crime which is also insane, I found a way around the internet blocks so I'm downloading all your recs.

Ah the same thing is happening to me right now with calculus. I took Calc I and Calc II a while back but I don't trust myself enough to skip the course. The worst part is the class is at 8am. It was Gen Chem haha so I was really happy about that. I did end up going to lecture today because I heard it was interesting and they were actually going over particle physics! So much Schrodinger, Einstein, and other dead white men. I tried reading up on some topics related to what you were interested in but they were way over my head to be blunt and honest haha. And I gave a listen to Faust (IV) and it was really fucking good so thanks for that. And I looked through your artists and didn't see any Brainiac, Birthday Party, or Arab on Radar. They are all really good so you should definitely give them all a listen.

I really wish I knew more about math, is there anything you have in mind in terms of research? I'm actually really lucky because my school has a nuclear reactor (as a source of neutrons, not as a source of power) and its run solely by students. I'm taking a class on that to see if I can become licensed to run the reactor and hopefully get to use it in some research in the long run. I am forced to write a thesis during senior year so that's going to help. And I got some transfer credit and was placed out of the chem class so I'm in the clear!

Awesome, my roommate wants to do Math-Physics, both are beyond tough. I haven't thought that far ahead, I'm sure I want to do some research so some sort of aspiration for graduate school exists. What are you thinking of doing after college? My brother has actually been doing that for me since I got here. We've been trying to find a chemistry textbook called Atoms First by Julia Burdge but its IMPOSSIBLE to find, they did a good job of hiding it those bastards. Thanks for the offer though. If I get an apartment the first thing I'm doing is downloading everything illegally.

Thanks, I wish you the same. I'm majoring in Biochemistry, how about you? I love Polyfusia, some of the songs on this album sound like a mix of My Bloody Valentine and Boards of Canada which is always a great thing. And I actually tried downloading a few albums yesterday but the damn school throttled my connection so it was impossible. No knocks on my door as of yet, thanks for the heads up though. I'll be sure to get my textbooks that way haha.

Ohio State sounds cool, my extended family thought I was going there but thats just cause they speak little English and thought Oregon sounds a lot like Ohio. I'm at Reed, its a nice place but I would definitely rather live off-campus haha. I started with Tri Repetae ++. It took awhile for it to grow on me but now I think its one of the best electronic albums I've ever heard. Also, I'll jump on the opportunity to shamelessly recommend you another artist called Seefeel. Succour and Polyfusia are two very different but very good albums that they made.

Its been a rough week haha but college is definitely exciting. Where'd you attend (if you don't mind me asking)? And I was looking through your charts and saw no Autechre!!! This must be fixed

Thanks for all the recs! Unfortunately I just moved to college and they made me sign a contract stating that I wouldn't download anything illegally so I won't be able to preview any of the music until I get back to the East Coast. Also I saw that you haven't listened to The Frogs so if you want to listen to some musically talented brothers singing about phalluses and butter check out their album It's Only Right and Natural, it sort of sounds like an acoustic and more crude version of Thinking Fellers.
